 Expansion to City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant Moves Forward At the September 13, 2005 City Council meeting, Turner Murphy Company, Inc. was awarded the contract for a $1,664,308 expansion to the City’s wastewater treatment plant located on Byrd Drive. The proposed expansion and additional equipment will accommodate additional waste water produced as part of the Perdue Farms plant expansion. The project is funded by a CDBG economic development grant in the amount of $1,000,000; a NC Rural Center grant in the amount of $500,000 and the remainder by the City of Rockingham. |
